Victoria Daskalis, M.S., CCC-SLP
Victoria is an ASHA-certified and New York State-licensed Speech-Language Pathologist holding her Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certification. Victoria earned her Bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Adelphi University, and she is conversational in Greek. Her primary goal is to empower children to become confident, effective communicators who can express their wants, needs, and ideas, while partnering closely with families to support progress at home.
With a background spanning both private practice and elementary school settings, Victoria has extensive experience supporting children with diverse communication needs. She works closely with children on the Autism Spectrum, children with ADHD, and those who use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) devices. She also supports children navigating receptive and expressive language delays, pragmatic (social) communication differences, and speech sound disorders, including Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS).
To ensure each child receives dynamic and engaging care, Victoria continually expands her clinical expertise through post-graduate coursework, including training in Sensory SLP approaches, The Writing Revolution (TWR), and Autism Little Learners. In therapy sessions, Victoria blends structured, evidence-based frameworks, such as Story Champs and the Expanding Expression Tool (EET), with sensory-friendly, flexible strategies. This allows her to tailor every appointment to match a child's individual learning style, sensory needs, and personal interests.
Victoria deeply believes that effective therapy focuses on the whole child, valuing who they are beyond a diagnosis or treatment goal. She considers each family’s cultural background, daily routines, and home environment when creating therapy plans to ensure that communication goals are meaningful and functional.
Above all, Victoria views parents and caregivers as vital partners in therapy. She is dedicated to equipping families with clear strategies, practical guidance, and empowering tools to support their child’s communication growth at home and foster joy in everyday interactions.
