Meghan O’Neil M.S. CCC-SLP
Meghan is a New York State–licensed and ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist living in Astoria, Queens. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the University of Maine and her Master of Science in Education in Speech-Language Pathology from the College of Saint Rose. She is currently attending CUNY School of Professional Studies, where she is pursuing a Master of Arts in Disability Studies and an Advanced Certificate in Disability Advocacy. She is originally from Albany, New York, but has happily been living in Astoria for the past two years.
Meghan holds a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certificate and has spent her career working in early intervention as well as in a preschool specifically for children with autism. She is passionate about delivering neurodiversity-affirming, person-centered services and is proud to be a DIRFloortime Certified Provider. Her professional interests include autism spectrum disorder, gestalt language processing, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and sensory-based feeding intervention.
Meghan’s passion for creating a fun, welcoming, silly, and inclusive environment shapes her work as a speech-language pathologist. She strives to be a strong advocate for her clients and their families and encourages her clients to reach their goals while having fun in the process.
