Dawn Ruderman

M.A. CCC-SLP 

Dawn is a New York State-licensed and ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist with almost 26 years of experience.  Dawn Received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication Science Disorders from Queens College and a Master of Arts degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Hofstra University. Dawn currently holds an additional license of Teacher of Speech and Hearing Handicapped (TSHH).  

Dawn has experience with a wide range of speech and language disorders including: Expressive and Receptive Language Delays, Articulation and Phonological Delays, Fluency Disorders, Auditory Processing Disorders, Pervasive Developmental Delays, Hearing Loss, and Intellectual Disabilities.  Additionally, Dawn has a passion for literacy and uses various programs including Lively Letters, Sight Words You Can See, Recipe for Reading, and various aspects of Orton-Gillingham to teach literacy to her clients. 

 Dawn currently works for the New York City Department of Education where she services preschool-aged students through fifth grade.  Dawn also supervises graduate students in the field of Speech Pathology and has supervised many speech students in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).   Additionally, Dawn is level one P.R.O.M.P.T. Trained and uses tactile techniques with children who benefit from them.
