Lauren is a New York State licensed and American Speech and Language Association (ASHA) Certified Speech and Language Pathologist. She also holds a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certificate in New York State. She received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Speech and Hearing Science from SUNY Buffalo and a Masters of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Hofstra University.
Lauren has over ten years of experience providing both school and clinic-based speech-language intervention. She currently works at a non-public special education middle school on Long Island, where she has been since 2011. She has developed and implemented individualized education plans (IEPs) for students from 6th-9th grade. Lauren has experience in treating a wide range of speech-language needs, including articulation disorders, receptive/expressive language disorders, fluency (stuttering), autism and learning disabilities. She strives to tailor therapy goals and techniques to meet the individual needs of each child she works with.
