Lauren Madoff

M.A., CCC-SLP

Lauren is a New York State licensed and American Speech and Language Association (ASHA) Certified Speech and Language Pathologist. She also holds a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certificate in New York State.  She received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Speech and Hearing Science from SUNY Buffalo and a Masters of Arts in Speech-Language Pathology from Hofstra University.

Lauren has over ten years of experience providing both school and clinic-based speech-language intervention.  She currently works in the NYC Department of Education, providing school-based services for students grades 6-8.  She has developed and implemented individualized education plans (IEPs) for students from 6th-9th grade.  Lauren has experience in treating a wide range of speech-language needs, including articulation disorders, receptive/expressive language disorders, fluency (stuttering), autism and learning disabilities.  She strives to tailor therapy goals and techniques to meet the needs of each individual she works with, while making sessions fun, engaging and meaningful.  Lauren has completed the Natural Language Acquisition training program from the Meaningful Speech coursework to Lauren believes in collaborating with families to ensure that targeted skills can be generalized outside of the therapy room.
