Josie Black, M.S. CCC-SLP

Josie is a NYS licensed and American Speech and Language Association (ASHA) Certified Speech and Language Pathologist. She holds a Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities (TSSLD) certificate in New York State. Josie received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech and Hearing Sciences from The University of Maryland and a Master’s of Science in Communication Disorders from William Paterson University. 


Josie has experience working with a wide variety of ages and disorders. Her experience includes working with those who have expressive/receptive language disorders, articulation and phonology disorders, feeding and swallowing disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and more. She currently works as a school-based SLP, in a school that serves children with global developmental delays, autism spectrum disorder, speech and language delays, and other neurodevelopmental disabilities. Josie is passionate about fostering a therapeutic environment that is fun, engaging, and functional. She believes in open and continuous communication with families, to support progress and promote generalization of skills across all settings.
